CENTRE OF RESEARCH EXCELLENCE FOR ADVANCED COOPERATIVE SYSTEMS

The Centre of Research Excellence for Advanced Cooperative Systems (ACROSS) is an interdepartmental research centre at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. The centre performs research in cooperative systems related to robotics, networked embedded systems and renewable energy systems. Its establishment and operation is funded by the European FP-7 Capacities "Research Potential" program [285939, FP7-REGPOT-2011-1].

ACROSS Workshop at the Festival of...

ACROSS was present at the Festival of Science held in Zagreb, April 23-28 2012 with the workshop entitled „Walking robots – from mimicking of animals to mimicking of humans“. The festival was traditionally organized by the Technical Museum Zagreb, British Council and the University of Zagreb. The workshop was designed as a one-hour interactive performance where Prof. Zdenko Kovacic, Alan Mutka, Damjan Miklic, Tamara Petrovic, Anja Babic, Kruno Hrvatinic, and Ivan Domladovec demonstrated six-, four- and two-legged walking robots from our laboratory. The aim of the workshop was to raise interest of students and pupils in the area of biologically inspired robotics.
