The 2012 IEEE Multi-Conference on Systems and Control (MSC 2012) was held in Dubrovnik Palace Hotel, Dubrovnik, Croatia, on October 3-5, 2012. More information and news can be found at the conference web site.
MSC 2012 includes two international conferences sponsored and promoted by the IEEE Control Systems Society (CSS):
* the IEEE Conference on Control Applications (CCA), and,
* the IEEE International Symposium on Intelligent Control (ISIC).
Through the sponsorship of IEEE and CSS, the MSC 2012 has global visibility and impact, and the 2012 conference is the second to be held in Europe (the previous two conferences were held in the USA and in Japan). The MSC 2012 is also the first conference sponsored by the IEEE Control Systems Society to be held in Croatia.
Areas of interest of CCA and ISIC include a wide range of topics in control systems, technology, and applications, which are also related to ACROSS SRDs. (See [Call for Papers] for more details).
ACROSS team was highly represented through four project members involved in the conference organizing committee:
Stjepan Bogdan (General Chair), Zdenko Kovacic (Invited Sessions Chair), Maja Matijasevic (Publicity Chair), and Ivan Petrovic (Finance Chair). The ACROSS Steering Committee Chair, Danica Kragic, also appears in prominent a role as a Publication Chair.
The 2012 IFAC Symposium on Robot Control (SYROCO 2012) was held in hotel Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik, Croatia, on September 5-7, 2012 as the tenth presentation in the IFAC series of triennial Symposiums on Robot Control started in 1985. More information and news can be found at the symposium web site.
SYROCO 2012 is sponsored and promoted by the IFAC Technical Committee on Robotics (TC 4.3) and cosponsored by the IFAC Technical Committees on Mechatronic Systems (TC 4.2) an Control Design (TC 2.1). Through these sponsorships, SYROCO 2012 has global visibility and impact.
Robot control technology is widely used for space, surgery, rehabilitation, micro machine, entertainment, underwater, civil engineering, professional and domestic services, security etc. It will continue to play an increasing role in the areas of robot-robot and human-robot cooperation in various dynamic scenarios. The primary topic for the SYROCO 2012 was "Robot Control in Dynamic Cooperative Scenarios", which is directly related to ACROSS SRD1 and SRD4.(See [Call for Papers] for more details).
ACROSS team was highly represented through five project members involved in the symposium committees: Ivan Petrović - National Organizing Committee Chair (General Chair), Mato Baotić - Invited Sessions Chair, Stjepan Bogdan, Zdenko Kovačić, Sven Lončarić, Siniša Šegvić and Zoran Kalafatić - International Program Committee Members, and Nedjeljko Perić - National Advisory Committee Chair. Moreover, the ACROSS Steering Committee Chair, Danica Kragic, and the ACROSS collaborating expert, Wolfram Burgard, gave plenary talks.
