CENTRE OF RESEARCH EXCELLENCE FOR ADVANCED COOPERATIVE SYSTEMS

The Centre of Research Excellence for Advanced Cooperative Systems (ACROSS) is an interdepartmental research centre at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. The centre performs research in cooperative systems related to robotics, networked embedded systems and renewable energy systems. Its establishment and operation is funded by the European FP-7 Capacities "Research Potential" program [285939, FP7-REGPOT-2011-1].

ACROSS researchers have teamed up with child behavior experts from the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences to work on a novel autism diagnostics protocol using Nao robots. Although still in its initial phase, the project has gathered significant media attention. Most major Croatian newspapers, news portals, TV and radio stations, such as Jutarnji list, tportal, Nova TV, 24sata and Hrvatski radio, as well as several international media houses such as Euronews, Inventor Spot, Radio Free Europe and West have reported on this story.
