Abstract:
In this talk a concept of behavior based traffic modeling will be explained on a case study of Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPGs). First the methodology and of measurements and modeling for both network traffic and user behavior will be explained. Furthermore the software architecture for network traffic generation will be described. In the end the current implementations of the software architecture will be described together with some results regarding scalability of the traffic generation.
CV:
Mirko Suznjevic received his Masters (Dipl.-Ing.) degree in Electrical Engineering, major Telecommunications and Informatics, from Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER), in 2006 and his PhD in 2012 at the same faculty. He has been employed at FER as a research associate in the Department of Telecommunications in 2006. Since October 2011, he participates in EU FP7 project “ACROSS - Center of Research Excellence for Advanced Cooperative Systems”. He participated in multiple collaborative research projects with Ericsson Nikola Tesla, research project funded by the Ministry of Science Education and Sports of the Republic of Croatia, entitled “Content delivery and Mobility of Users and Services in New Generation Networks” and COST Action IC0703. He has published four journal papers and six papers in international conferences and workshops. His research interests are analysis and modeling of network traffic, user behavior, cloud based gaming systems, and QoE for multiplayer online games.
